Eugenol is committed to preserving the confidentiality of the information you provide online. Please read the following charter to find out how we use the personal information you provide when you use our services. We reserve the right to modify this charter and therefore ask you to refer to it regularly.

This Charter is based on the following three commitments:

REGISTRATION OF PERSONAL DATA

You can visit the eugenol.us  site and use our services without revealing any personal information. The majority of our services do not require user registration.
However, the specific newsletter subscription service requires user registration. During this registration procedure, we ask you to complete the registration questionnaire as accurately as possible.
You will receive confirmation of your registration by e-mail and a summary of your password in each Eugenol newsletter.
Eugenol will identify you by your e-mail address and a randomly generated password. Once you have registered, you will be able to change your details and password at any time on the "My Account" page provided for this purpose. You will also be able to terminate your registration unconditionally by sending us a request by e-mail or post.
Eugenol complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is the European reference text on the protection of personal data:

COOKIE POLICY

Why must your browser accept cookies?
To be able to improve our services and get to know our visitors better, Eugenol uses cookies to record and sometimes track your personal data. A cookie is a small block of data sent to your browser by a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Our entire site requires you to accept cookies (see appendix: How do I activate my cookies?).
In general, we use cookies to :

- Evaluate our audience share. Each browser that accesses Eugenol is allocated a unique cookie which then makes it possible to determine the frequency of use of the services, the comings and goings of a registered user compared with those of a new user, and which can help Eugenol to target the content of the website according to the centres of interest and behaviour of the users.
- Track your progress and the number of times you participate in our services such as the Poll and Amphi.
- Measure certain browsing patterns, identify which pages of the Eugenol site you have visited, and more generally, your attitude to visits. We use this research to analyse similarities or differences in our users' behaviour and to ensure that we are always anticipating their expectations. We use this information, for example, to better personalise the content, banners and offers that appear on our sites.

Eugenolt also collects IP addresses (see appendix: What is an IP address?) when you register so that, in the event of abuse, we can respond to information from the competent authorities.

Therefore, although we make every effort to protect your personal information, Eugenol cannot ensure or guarantee that the information you send us, either directly or via our online services, is secure. You therefore communicate it to us at your own risk. As soon as we receive your data, we make every effort to ensure its security on our site.
