About

The European Orthodontic Society was founded on 16th May 1907 by 10 Charter members. Regular congresses of the Society are held annually in different European countries.

The Society is affiliated to the World Federation of Orthodontists and has close co-operation with the European Federation of Orthodontic Specialists Association.

The aims of EOS are:

To advance all aspects of orthodontics and its relations with the collateral arts and sciences for the public benefit.
To seek the furtherance of orthodontics amongst all branches of the dental profession working in private practice, hospitals and universities throughout Europe.
To host an annual congress once a year, bringing orthodontists together from all over the world.

  • <p>Dear friends and colleagues,<br><br>It is my great honour to invite you to the 98th Congress of the European Orthodontic Society, which will take place in Oslo, Norway, from 11-15 June, 2023.<br>The scientific programme offers a range of topics that will be of interest to all participants.<br><br>Evidence-based orthodontics connects orthodontic practitioners and researchers and promotes the use of the best available evidence to make informed clinical decisions. Scientific developments and clinical management of impacted teeth, as well as the role of periodontium in orthodontics, will be some of the highlights. Free topic sessions are open to new and recurrent orthodontic themes. The keynote speakers are experts in their respective fields, and they will provide excellent scientific and clinical updates.<br><br>The future of our specialty lies in the hands of orthodontic residents. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that you participate in the making of this congress. We encourage you to submit your research for oral presentations or posters and take part in social events for networking.<br>The last EOS Congress held in Oslo was in 1972. Since then, Oslo has gone through a lot of changes. It is one of Europe’s fastest-growing cities with innovative architecture and modern neighbourhoods.   • <p></p><p>The scientific programme will have two main themes. The first will focus on the role of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics in oral health, bringing into discussion the various treatment effects.
